Green Roofs for Sheds, Wheelie Bin Stores, and Other Garden Buildings

Increasing garden biodiversity is something a lot of people aspire to but not everybody has the space available to create large areas of pollinator friendly wildflowers. Most gardens do however contain a structure or building such as a shed or wheelie bin store and the roofs of theses are perfect for a small sedum or green roof mat.

We offer a choice of two products for garden building green-roofs - our sedum mats or wildflower green roof mats.

The sedum is provided in slabs that are lightrweight and easy to install. We provide rapid delivery of fresh product from our field to your roof. This means very little strss on your plants resulting in better establishment.

Choose the sedum mat if:

  • Your looking for a low maintenance green roof

  • You’d prefer a drought tolerant product

  • You need a lightweight option for your roof

  • You like low growing plants over higher growing plants

Best Uses

  • You want an attractive mixture of wildflowers, herbs and flowering perennials

  • You’d like a prolonged flowering period (from April to early winter)

  • You want a balance between drought tolerant aspects and colour

  • A higher flowering height (30-80cm) would suit your garden building

Our sedum mats are created from 10 beautiful varieties of sedum which have been designed for use with green roofs. We supply them in easy to install, lightweight slabs. Establishment is good due fast delivery and therefore low stress on the plants.

Our wildflower green roof mats have been developed in close association with Professor Nigel Dunnett of the University of Sheffield. The atrs have been designed to flourish on green roofs and the type of conditions they present.
